🏛️ Leadership and Collaboration
The Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht will lead the strategy’s development, working alongside the Cross-Sectoral Group on Local and Community Development, as well as stakeholders from central and local government.

📅 Timeline and Participation
The online consultation is open until close of business on Friday, 15 August 2025. All submissions will be treated confidentially.

Minister Buttimer emphasised the sector’s role in promoting civil engagement, social and climate justice, and delivering vital services. He reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to supporting the sector through collective action and strategic planning.
