49ers WR believes Chiefs will beat Eagles in Super Bowl LVII

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is convinced that the Kansas City Chiefs are going to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

Aiyuk’s prediction isn’t a surprise, as the 24-year-old said earlier this week that he thought the Chiefs would “expose” the Eagles defense.

Aiyuk added that Kansas City will do “what we thought we were going to expose before some unfortunate circumstances,” most likely referring to Brock Purdy’s UCL injury and Josh Johnson’s concussion during the NFC title game.

The wideout may also still harbor some negative feelings towards the Philadelphia team after San Francisco fell short in the NFC Championship Game for the second straight year.

Aiyuk’s teammate — All-Pro edge rusher Nick Bosa — said last week that he wouldn’t be watching the game between the Chiefs and Eagles.

Aiyuk is coming off of a breakout third NFL season where he set regular season career highs across the board in targets (114), receptions (78), receiving yards (1,015), receiving yards (eight) and catch percentage (68.4%), despite playing with four separate quarterbacks.

Aiyuk’s targets, receptions and receiving yards all led a loaded Niners offense, but he produced just six catches for 109 scoreless yards in the team’s three playoff games.

Super Bowl LVII is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
