40-Foot Golden Dragon Installations : Golden Dragon Installations

Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a spectacular 40-foot golden dragon installation, the largest indoor dragon display in the city. Available for viewing until February 25 near Canada Goose, this installation is part of an enhanced Lunar New Year experience. Visitors can participate in a weekly contest by posting Instagram photos with the dragon, tagging @yorkdalestyle, and using the hashtag #YorkdaleLNY, for a chance to win a $888 shopping spree.

From February 5-9, guests can also enjoy complimentary calligraphy for New Year blessings. Additionally, an immersive gold-themed experience near Holt Renfrew runs until February 23, featuring golden archways and a beautifully decorated floor, merging traditional and contemporary elements.

Yorkdale is hosting various cultural performances, including Chinese Printing, Sugar Painting, Calligraphy, and a Dragon Dance, across different dates in February at its Holt Renfrew location. A special Lunar New Year gift guide, created in collaboration with Humber College students, will be available on Yorkdale’s website starting February 1. This celebration offers a unique opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the festivities and embrace the Year of the Dragon at Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
