KFC has built the KFCourt, a winterized basketball court situated beneath the Gardiner Expressway, one of Canada’s busiest highways. Toronto residents can visit the KFCourt for a pickup basketball game or learn new moves from the avid players, thanks to the new facility. The court sees the recreation of KFC’s famous chicken bucket as a playable NBA Regulation Size Bucket (RSB).
The month-long activation provides Canadians a new venue to play the game with the assistance of the basketball community and Toronto Raptor Gary Trent Jr., who will be making a courtside appearance to educate local fans on how to earn baskets like him.
“Canadians love for Finger Lickin’ Good buckets is only matched by their love of buckets on the basketball court,” says Azim Akhtar, Director of Marketing, KFC Canada. “That’s why we wanted to bring these two worlds together like only KFC can and create an epic winterized court that feeds Canadians’ growing passion for basketball.”
