Uzbek Economy and Finance Minister holds meeting with representatives of the International Labour Organization
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 22 February, a meeting was held with the participation of the Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Kudbiev and Assistant Director General of the International Labor Organization Heinz Koller.
The meeting was attended by Director of the ILO Regional Bureau for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Olga Kulayeva, and Deputy Director of this bureau Emmanuel Julen, National Coordinator of the ILO in Uzbekistan Alisher Hashimov, Director of the Department for cooperation with foreign states and international organizations, work with International Ratings of the Ministry of Economy and Finance Ajiniyaz Kaipnazarov, Deputy Head of the Department for poverty Reduction, social protection and financial security Raphael Klivleev.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the future status of projects implemented in cooperation, poverty reduction in our country, ensuring employment of the population, ongoing work in the fields of social protection, the creation of a Social Protection Observatory as a tool for monitoring and evaluating social protection programs.
The guests were also informed about the active implementation of the Development Strategy of the New Uzbekistan for the period 2022-2026, based on the principle “In the name of human honor and dignity”, in order to continue the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan.
At the end meeting, the parties agreed to develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
