Unathi Nkayi has had enough of loadshedding in South Africa and went on a rant about it. Taking her thoughts on the matter to her Instagram on Friday, 23 December, the frustrated radio and TV personality called South Africa was a sh*t show.
WHAT DID UNATHI SAY ABOUT LOADSHEDDING?
Recording her rant from an airport bathroom, Nkayi said that she could not wait to talk about what was on her mind. Right off the bat, the former Idols judge exclaimed,
“South Africa is a sh-t show hey, like a proper sh*t show. “
“Between the Afrikaans guys stealing our coal, and our government giving our electricity to neighbouring countries, South Africa is a sh*t show and we are not angry enough,” she added.

In her infuriation, she could barely catch her breath, the STAR91.9 FM radio presenter explained that she was on her way to the airport when she received a call from someone at her house who told her that the City of Johannesburg was over at her home to come to switch off her lights.
This information came as a shock to Nkayi as she explained that she has always been ahead on all her bills. She said that she showed the people proof that her balance was not in arrears and instead, she was ahead of her account with the municipality.
The radio presenter could not believe that with all the loadshedding happening, the municipality still had the audacity to be making such mistakes.
“We are not angry enough as South Africans, we are not angry enough,” Nkayi concluded.
HOW DID SOCIAL MEDIA USERS REACT TO UNATHI NKAYI’S RANT?
Netizens who viewed the clip were just as concerned about the electricity problem in the country. One of her followers said that the theme “we are not angry enough” has been ongoing for years and that one day we will wake up to “No country overnight.”
Another Instagram user voiced that as a country, South Africans take everything as a joke and make trends out of the struggles faced by Mzansi.
