TRIBE Budapest Airport Opened June 2025

TRIBE, the design-led hotel brand by Accor, will expand its footprint in Hungary with the opening of TRIBE Budapest Airport in June 2025. The new hotel will be developed by WING, one of Central Europe’s leading real estate companies, and will be located just steps from Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, directly connected to the existing ibis Styles Budapest Airport.

The property marks TRIBE’s second location in Hungary and reflects the brand’s growing presence in Eastern Europe. TRIBE Budapest Airport will feature 167 smartly designed rooms, catering to business travellers, digital nomads, and short-stay guests seeking stylish, functional accommodations at an accessible price.

Key amenities include:

  • A 140-seat restaurant and lounge with a 60-seat outdoor terrace
  • A rooftop skybar with panoramic views
  • A 7th-floor fitness centre
  • A 150-seat conference room and two additional meeting spaces

Designed with sustainability in mind, the hotel is set to be among the first BREEAM-certified hotel buildings in Hungary.

“TRIBE reflects the bold and design-forward lifestyle today’s travellers expect,” said Pauline Oster, Vice President for TRIBE Europe & North Africa. “This opening marks an exciting step in our Eastern European expansion and strengthens our successful collaboration with WING.”

The hotel enhances services at Budapest Airport and reinforces our long-term commitment to delivering world-class, sustainable developments.”

Budapest Airport CEO François Berisot welcomed the project, stating: “We are pleased to see a second quality hotel brand open within walking distance of Terminal 2. With rising passenger numbers, TRIBE will meet growing demand for premium yet accessible airport accommodation.”

The hotel’s interiors are being created by este’r partners, with architectural design by Aspectus Architect, a WING subsidiary. Construction has been carried out by Swietelsky Magyarország, with final fit-out works managed by Bernecker.

TRIBE currently operates over 20 hotels globally, with 30+ in development, and is known for its distinctive “everything you need, nothing you don’t” approach to modern hospitality. TRIBE Budapest Airport builds on the success of its 2023 debut in Hungary at the dual-branded ibis & TRIBE Budapest Stadium.
