Designer Bodo Sperlein unveils a look at his signature Contour Chair design during the Cabinet de Virtuosites II by Galerie Philia. It is part of the designer’s larger Contour furniture collection and is marked by clean curves and an organic structure that is inspired by the Art Nouveau movement. The chair fuses elements of modern qualities with timeless themes that are made using innovative techniques.
The chair is made in the UK by craftsmen and the Contour Chair takes a whole week to construct. The planks of wood that are used are all individually chosen to keep the grain very consistent and sleek. It comes in the tonal options of black walnut, oak, or engineered-grade timber. Additionally, there is a Beech option that is finished using a Japnese charring technique known as Shou Sugi Ban
