Catch the Maine premiere of a play that packs a humorous punch while showing how love transcends cultural differences. “Pilgrims Musa and Sheri in the New World” tells the tale of an immigrant Muslim cab driver named Musa and an American waitress Sheri. The playwright is Egyptian immigrant Yussef El Guindi, and he penned it as a love letter to the immigrant experience.
Stillson School of Irish Dance

The Stillson School of Irish Dance will dazzle and delight you with a Friday night show in Freeport. The dancers have impressed crowds around New England and have competed in championships in Europe and the British Isles. Through the years, Stillson students have performed with musical acts Cherish the Ladies, Solas, Natalie McMaster and Eileen Ivers, as well as the Trinity Irish Dance Company. Step to it and grab tickets.
‘Nunsense’

If you need to up the amount of silliness in your life, then don’t miss City Theater’s production of the musical “Nunsense.” It is indeed habit-forming, and the storyline of Sister Julia’s accidental fatal poisoning of 52 of her sisters will have you roaring with laughter as the bodies pile up. Songs include “We’ve Got To Clean Out the Freezer,” “So You Want To Be a Nun” and “Growing Up Catholic.”

For a night of salty, sassy and Southern-flavored humor, grab tickets to see comic Heather McMahan. In May, McMahan concluded what she called The Farewell Tour, and so it only makes sense that this time around, it’s called The Comeback Tour. McMahan’s been cracking audiences up for several years and launched her podcast in 2010.
