Light the beam! The Sacramento Kings are headed back to the playoffs.
On Wednesday, the Kings walloped the Portland Trail Blazers 120-80 and, in doing so, clinched a playoff berth for the first time since the 2005-06 season. The Kings Herald, a Sacramento fan site, summed up the euphoric feeling that the team and fan base are currently experiencing. “Who knows what happens from here or how long it lasts, but I’m planning on enjoying it for as long as I can. This may be the most fun I’ve had as a Kings fan in my entire life. Moments and memories like these are why we fought so hard to keep the team here…So savor the moment, Kings fans, and forget about the last sixteen years. This is Year One.”
