Following the Golden State Warriors‘ 122-101 Game 6 elimination loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, everyone asked the same question: is the dynasty over ? Given the state of the franchise, it’s a fair question. Draymond Green has a player option for next season but has already expressed a desire to run it back . “I want to be a Warrior for the rest of my life,” Green said. “I want to ride out with the same dudes I rode in with.” For the first time in three seasons, Klay Thompson was able to make it through the year unscathed but did not look like his old self against the Lakers. He, too, expressed optimism going forward. “It’s not the end of the road for me,” Thompson said. “I still know I have greatness ahead of me.” The future of the architect of the Dubs’ dynasty, Bob Myers, is also up in the air. So while it’s possible that the Warriors simply decide to give it one more go, there’s also a chance that Friday’s loss was the last time we saw this group on an NBA floor at the same time.
