Few NFL prospects came out of college with more hype than Jadeveon Clowney. When the Houston Texans selected him with the first overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, many assumed that he and J.J. Watt would wreak havoc on NFL offenses for years to come. Clowney ended up being solid but not spectacular for the Texans and has bounced around the league the last few seasons. Now a free agent heading into year 10, Clowney is open to returning to where it all began. “It would be nice. All my family is here. Friends here…You never know what will happen. You never know what’s in front of you. I see what they’ve got here. They’re putting the pieces together. I’m a big fan of their new head coach.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. One of those “pieces” that Clowney is referring to is Will Anderson Jr., who didn’t go first overall but, like Clowney, was the first defensive player selected in the 2023 draft.
