When the average football fan hears the last name Tagovailoa they likely think of Tua Tagovailoa, who was a national championship quarterback at Alabama before being drafted No. 5 overall by the Miami Dolphins in the 2020 NFL Draft. They also likely think of Tua’s recent battles with concussions, witch kept him out of the final stretch of games this season — including the playoffs — for the Dolphins.
Though Tua is certainly worth plenty of headlines for his talent as a quarterback, his brother, Taulia Tagovailoa, has made just as big of a name for himself over the past three seasons at Maryland — and the redshirt junior quarterback recently announced that he’s coming back for more.
“My goal when coming to Maryland was to help Coach [Michael] Locksley turn this program around,” Taulia said a video released on Twitter. “After winning back-to-back bowl games, I believe we have things going in the right direction. But we’re not done yet. I’m not done yet. After careful deliberation, I have decided to return for my senior season.”
