Taslima Nasreen Accident Update: What happened To Bangladeshi-Swedish Writer?
According to Taslima Nasreen, she recently stumbled over due to oversized pajamas and fell to the ground, scraping her knee.
She had knee problems, so she followed a friend’s advice and sought treatment at a hospital.
The doctor she visited after being referred by a friend told her she had a fracture in her femur following an X-ray and CT scan.
The doctor then presented her with two options: first, an internal fixation, in which the fracture would be fixed with screws; second, a total hip replacement, in which her hip bones would be removed and replaced with plastic and metal.
While the author insisted on receiving the internal fixing treatment, she claimed the doctors forced her into accepting the second treatment.
The Bangladeshi-Swedish author accused the medical professionals who pressured her into choosing without giving her enough time to contemplate getting a second opinion.
The writer, who is also a physician herself, underwent the painful surgery to learn that her X-Ray did not reveal any fractures in her femur or elsewhere.
Taslima Nasreen Accused A Delhi Private Hospital Of Committing A Medical Crime
Taslima Nasreen claimed that she had become a victim of a medical crime. She also said she was healthy and fit with no health issues.

According to the writer, her doctor imposed various restrictions on her, such as using a regular chair, lifting heavy objects, slouching, and sitting cross-legged.

Taslima Nasreen Claimed That She Was Given Wrong Medicines In 2008
It is now the first time Taslima Nasreen accused Indian medical professionals of medical crime and negligence.
In 2008, she claimed she received the wrong medications for stress and hypertension. Later, she treated her suspected drug effects at AIIMS Delhi.
Taslima has been living in exile for a few decades, as her book, Lajja (1993), sparked widespread criticism in Bangladesh. Born in Sweden, Nasreen has lived in various countries – the United States, Europe, and India.
Nasreen is the daughter of Dr. Rajab Ali and Edul Ara. Her dad was a physician and professor of Medical Jurisprudence at Mymensingh Medical College.
Taslima is a 1984 graduate of Mymensingh Medical College (the University of Dhaka affiliated).
