With its new Sweet Cannoli Dip, Trader Joe’s has managed to turn one of the most beloved Italian desserts into a dippable snack.
For those unfamiliar, a cannoli is an Italian pastry made up of a tube-shaped shell of fried dough, filled with a sweet and creamy ricotta filling. Now, Trader Joe’s has managed to take the inside of this pastry and turn it into a sweet spread. The new Trader Joe’s Sweet Cannoli Dip features a base made up of cream cheese, sour cream, and ricotta, which gives it a delicious creamy texture. In terms of taste, Trader Joe’s says you can expect “sweet, vanilla-tinged, ever-so-slightly tart notes and a velvety, frosting-like consistency—just like what you’d find within a freshly baked cannoli.”
