Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Secretary Blinken and the Crown Prince discussed the situation in the Middle East and reinforced their shared commitment to preventing the spread of regional conflict. Secretary Blinken expressed appreciation for Bahrain’s contributions to maritime security. The Secretary and Crown Prince also discussed how cooperation under the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) continues to strengthen the strategic partnership between the United States and Bahrain.
