The Tampa Bay Rays were able to get back into the win column on Sunday afternoon after dropping back-to-back games this weekend, and they ended it in style with relief pitcher Jason Adam making a stunning no-look, behind-the-back catch to close out the 8-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Have a look.
After making the catch he was able to turn around and easily double off Santiago Espinal.
That was Kevin Kiermaier hitting the line drive back at Adam, and he seemed to be in complete disbelief that it was caught. As he should have been. That looked like an automatic single off the back, especially as Adam was not even looking at the ball.
The Rays opened the season winning 13 consecutive games before losing on Friday and Saturday to the Blue Jays.
Their win on Sunday improves them to a still league-best 14-2 record and the top spot in the American League East.
The Rays pitching staff has driven a lot of their early success, and that continued on Sunday with another strong start from Shane McClanahan.
