On July 7, 2025, Emanuel Rodriguez Rodriguez, 34, of Puerto Rico, was sentenced to 121 months in federal prison and five years of supervised release for his role in a maritime drug trafficking operation involving 25 kilograms of cocaine transported via jet skis between Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

  • On December 11, 2021, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Air and Marine Operations (AMO) detected four jet skis traveling from Culebra, PR to St. Thomas, USVI.
