The conceptual ‘Just another mouse’ has been designed by Matteo Ercole as a computer peripheral that combats against repetitive strain injuries (RSI) that can develop with conventional mouses. The mouse has a button-free design that replaces the mechanical components with touch-sensitive sections to allow for a less invasive user experience. The pressure-sensitive design is similar in functionality to features like Force Touch on the Apple MacBook trackpad that delivers a more tactile experience for the user.
The conceptual ‘Just another mouse’ has a proximity sensor on the top that will detect the user’s hand and turn on or off automatically. The rechargeable mouse only needs to be placed onto a wireless dock to start the charging process much like using a wireless smartphone or smartwatch charger.
