Google Meet introduces a new feature dubbed the in-meeting reactions that depend on the simplicity of emojis. The concept stems from the idea that users can simply send one of nine emojis that will appear on the recipient’s window. This will also be visible to the rest of the members on the call.
If multiple members in the call send emojis, they will collect as a burst on the left side of the screen. To use the new feature, users are to select the smile icon that is in the control bar, then hover over the bar that pops up to select the skin tones for all of the available emojis. Google notes that this is a “non-disruptive way to engage and participate in meetings without interrupting the speaker.”
