NFL Week 15 fantasy: Surprises, disappointments & waiver adds

It wasn’t a surprise that the Falcons’ game plan was even more run-heavy than usual with Desmond Ridder under center, but Allgeier’s great performance still stuck out. He finished with 17 carries for 139 yards, one score, and one catch for negative three yards.

Dotson’s rookie season has been disrupted by injury, but he’s been spectacular lately. He had his second consecutive great game against the Giants, with four catches for 105 yards and one touchdown. He looks like a possible fantasy start next week against the 49ers.

Gage hasn’t been as productive as hoped this season, but he had a notable performance against the Bengals. He finished with eight catches for 59 yards and two scores in a losing effort.

Jacksonville’s offense is blossoming into one of the most exciting in the league, and their receivers are benefiting from Trevor Lawrence‘s development. Jones had a monster game against the Cowboys, with six catches for 109 yards and three touchdowns.

Osborn was a huge part of Minnesota’s record-breaking comeback against the Colts. He had 10 catches and led the team with 157 receiving yards, adding a touchdown.

Bill Belichick is great at shutting down the opposing team’s top weapon. He did that with Adams on Sunday, leaving the star with only four catches for 28 yards.

Brown can’t take the blame for a lackluster day on Sunday, with only four catches for 19 yards, as Colt McCoy exited early with a concussion. The prospects of Trace McSorley starting next week could all but destroy Brown’s value for another week.

Jones has struggled this season, but Sunday was probably his worst game. He completed only 13-of-31 passes for 112 yards, plus 10 rushing yards. The game will be remembered for an ill-advised lateral as time expired that led to a miracle win for the Raiders, but Jones’ poor stats were likely one reason for New England’s desperation. Dynasty league managers are praying the Patriots hire a new offensive coordinator this offseason.

Knight has been a revelation since he emerged for the Jets, but Detroit was able to hold him in check. The rookie had only 23 yards rushing on 13 carries.

Sanders is having a great season, but his fantasy managers were disappointed in Week 15. He finished with 11 carries for 42 yards and one catch for negative 13 yards against a shaky Bears defense.

It’s been back-to-back strong games for Brown, as he emerges as Dak Prescott‘s No. 2 option. He had six catches for 49 yards and two touchdowns against the Jags, leading the team with nine targets. An important matchup against the Eagles next week makes him enticing as a FLEX play.

The Texans seemed to go with the hot hand at running back with Dameon Pierce sidelined. Late in the game, that was Freeman. He led the team with 11 carries for 51 yards, adding one catch for five yards. Freeman works worthy of a pickup due to his workload.

Tyler Lockett suffered a fractured finger that could keep him out of the Seahawks game against the Chiefs. Goodwin is set to step up against a beatable Chiefs secondary.

Jalen Hurts‘ status is up in the air for Week 16 following a shoulder injury, putting Minshew on the periphery as a usable fantasy option. The Eagles will be playing to win to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC against the rival Cowboys, and Minshew has shown he’s a capable passer.

Jonathan Taylor suffered another ankle injury early in Saturday’s game, and the remainder of his season is in doubt. Moss was there to pick up the workload, finishing with 24 carries for 81 yards. His volume in a run-heavy offense could be worthy of a start in the fantasy playoffs.
