NFL analyst ‘would least want to face’ Steelers in playoffs

The Steelers (8-8) have a real shot to make the playoffs entering Week 18. And NFL Network’s Peter Schrager thinks they might just be the most dangerous wild-card team if they find their way in.

“The AFC let the Steelers hang around … they’re red hot and they’re getting confidence. They don’t lose games when they’re close,” Schrager said on “Good Morning Football.” “This is a team I would least want to face because they’re only getting better and better every week.”

Pittsburgh has won three straight and six of its last eight. As a wild-card team, the Steelers would be on the road for the entirety of their postseason run, but the team has won its last four road games.

Everything went right for Pittsburgh in Week 17. The Steelers won, and the Dolphins (8-8) and Jets (7-9) each lost.

To make the playoffs, the Steelers must defeat the Browns (7-9) in the final week of the regular season. The Dolphins and Patriots (8-8) would also have to lose, all outcomes being very possible.

The Dolphins could be down to their third-string quarterback with Tua Tagovailoa and Teddy Bridgewater injured. And the Patriots take on the (12-3) Bills.

The Steelers might just benefit from the schedule makers, and they’re ready to make some noise if given the chance.
