This January, a slew of Lunar New Year-inspired makeup hit the market as brands embraced the limited edition buzz and launched new one-of-a-kind aesthetics for some of their best-selling products. Beauty brand NARS, for instance, debuted two new year-inspired makeup products—the Lunar New Year Brush Set, featuring “four full-sized brushes with festive red handles,” and the Lunar New Year Light Reflecting Setting Powder and Puff Set, which is an iconic product for NARS. The former kit has all the makeup essentials—a blush brush, a precision powder brush, a blending brush, and a small eyeshadow brush. The products really work well when bought together, as well.
The packaging of the limited-edition products boasts a special combination of red and gold that is closely associated with Lunar New Year festivities.
