A new dating app called Vinylly helps users connect and find matches through their music taste, allowing both parties to bond over a common genre, artist, or song. Described as the “first of its kind,” Vinylly analyzes your music streaming habits and asks relevant questions to each user about their personal preference. Vinylly garnered over 40,000 profile views and over 18,700 matches in 2022, proving that consumers value musical taste when pursuing a potential partner.
Vinylly also allows users to create their own personalized playlist and share it with their matches. Users can link their Spotify accounts to browse through their own music library.
“We launched our own proprietary profile generator, giving all music fans the ability to create a profile in minutes. Users can still sync their Spotify too,” added the founder. “Vinylly’s mission is backed by science. Connecting through music increases dopamine, oxytocin and lowers cortisol.”
