LAYER works in collaboration with Samsung on a new battery pack. The sleek gadget boasts a minimal design language that resembles the look of a pebble. The collaborative design is made using a soft speckled plastic material and a smooth tactile build. Founder of the studio Benjamin Hubert describes the battery pack as a “clean, elegant design” made with a “palette aligned with interior design.”
The structure is rounded around the edges with flat ends that open up dual USB-C ports. The neutrally toned gadget is detailed with a graphic ’10’ typographic debossed for a contrast of texture. Hubert states “We are proud to have partnered with Samsung since the very beginnings of LAYER. The new Battery Pack is a small part of a larger collaboration, and it is exciting to release the first of many products we are working on. The Samsung Battery Pack is accessible, functional, and simple yet instantly identifiable and memorable, bringing a little bit of joy to the everyday.”
