The Fandangoe Discoteca introduces a unique concept designed by The Fandangoe Kid, aiming to provide a space for individuals to channel their grief and maintain mental well-being through a mini disco experience. Curated by The Loss Project, the Discoteca program seeks to “cover all intersections of grief, from bereavement to climate angst to political rage to breakups.” Positioned as a mini disco experience, the initiative seeks to encourage healthy and positive ways of dealing with negative feelings.
Utilizing the iconic K67 modular kiosks crafted by Saša Mächtig in 1967, the Fandangoe Discoteca will launch in London and will subsequently move on to Berlin in September. The traveling mini disco experience will coincide with commissioned Grief Rave events planned for the rest of 2023.
The Fandangoe Discoteca’s innovative approach offers a refreshing perspective on managing grief and emotional well-being, embracing a multi-faceted platform that blends creative expression and psychological support.
