Chocolate brand Marou has released a dark chocolate bar that has spices from the widely-popular Vietnamese noodle soup dish, pho. This chocolate bar came after the brand’s celebration of 10 years for their award-winning Vietnamese cacao. As for the inspiration for this chocolate bar, co-founder Samuel Maruta had the idea for it while grilling fragrant spices.
The packaging has an orange and light gray wrap around the chocolate bar while the chocolate bar itself has the brand logo carved onto the center of it. The chocolate bar contains five spices that are also commonly shared in pho recipes. These five spices are cardamom, star anise, coriander, cinnamon, and cloves. All these spices are what grants the fragrant pho taste and smell that coats the noodles from the soup being marinated with these spices. Now these spices are coated on this limited-edition chocolate bar for a distinctive taste. The chocolate bar is available now and is priced at $8.
