LeBron James was in the presence of two actual goats late Thursday night, as he and a host of his close friends celebrated his recent accomplishment of becoming the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
According to TMZ Sports, James, his wife Savannah, and “about 20 of his close friends” went to A.O.C. wine bar in West Hollywood following the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.
James — who is constantly debated as perhaps the NBA’s “GOAT” — was honored with a pregame ceremony for his recent record-breaking moment.
Per the TMZ Sports report, moments after “King James” and his wife arrived at the wine bar, two goats and their handlers showed up at the venue. The animals reportedly stayed for about 15 minutes.
While the NFL’s possible “GOAT” (Tom Brady) recently retired (for the second time), the 38-year-old James doesn’t plan on calling it quits quite yet. He recently said that he plans to be in the NBA for “at least a few more years.”
While James’ Lakers aren’t even in the playoff picture right now and Brady’s (now former) team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell short of an appearance in the upcoming Super Bowl LVII, there’s still been plenty of “GOAT” talking going around.
Ahead of the big game on Sunday, Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham said this week that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is “definitely the ‘GOAT,'” something that will surely turn some heads and rile up some Brady die-hards.
