From ridicule to recognition, and scientific validation

London, October 2025 — Britain’s King Charles III, long regarded as an early and sometimes unconventional voice on environmental issues, is the subject of a forthcoming documentary that traces how his once-mocked views on nature have become widely accepted and scientifically validated.

From “Dotty” to Visionary

The King has acknowledged that when he first raised concerns in the 1970s about plastic pollution, industrial farming, and unchecked consumption, he was dismissed as “rather dotty.” Decades later, those same warnings have become central to global debates on climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable living.

Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision

The new film, titled Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in early 2026, reaching audiences in more than 240 countries. Directed by Nicolas Brown, the documentary explores Charles’ philosophy of “harmony” — the belief that humanity must see itself as part of nature, not apart from it.

The film combines archival footage, interviews, and global case studies, from forests in Guyana to sustainable communities in India, alongside projects closer to home at Highgrove and Dumfries House, run by the King’s Foundation.

A Lifelong Commitment

“Nature is our sustainer — we are a part of nature. Therefore, what we do to her, we do to ourselves,” Charles said in a statement. He expressed hope that the film will inspire a new generation to adopt the same determination that has guided his decades-long advocacy.

Broader Impact

The documentary highlights how Charles’ environmental philosophy has influenced not only his own charitable work but also his sons: Prince William’s Earthshot Prize and Prince Harry’s conservation initiatives both reflect the family’s shared commitment to sustainability.

Outlook

By charting the evolution of ideas once dismissed as eccentric, Finding Harmony positions King Charles as a figure whose persistence helped shift environmentalism from the margins to the mainstream. The film aims to serve as both a chronicle of change and a call to action at a time of mounting ecological urgency.
