It’s been three days and three nights since Kason Thomass last saw his mother. His twin brother Kyair Thomass reunited with their family after police found him abandoned outside Dayton International Airport early Tuesday. Kason is still missing–along with his kidnapper Nalah Jackson.
Police believe he is in danger, Jackson has no known connections to the child or his parents.
On Tuesday, Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant pleaded with Jackson to return the five-month-old to any public place where someone could find him. Chief Bryant offered to pick up the child, no questions asked.
Still, nothing from Jackson. On Wednesday, police charged Nalah with two felony counts of kidnapping. But that hasn’t brought them any closer to locating Jackson or the Thomass child. As of Thursday, Kason and the black 2010 Honda Accord Jackson stole, along with the twins remaining missing.
How Did Kason Thomass Go Missing?
Their mother, Wilhelmina Barnett, was pulling a double on Monday night, caring for her twin boys and earning some money as a Door Dash driver.
Barnett entered a Donatos on East 1st Avenue and North High Street in Columbus, Ohio, to pick up an order at about 9:45 p.m. At the time, Jackson was inside the pizza shop but promptly exited and proceeded to steal Barnett’s running car with the twins inside.
