There’s been a major update to a 2022 incident that impacts Justin Bieber, Kodak Black, and even the City of Los Angeles!
Kodak Black Is Accused Of Escalating The Situation
According to TMZ, Biebs and Kodak were recently hit with a lawsuit stemming from an incident that unfolded during Super Bowl weekend last year. Specifically, after a private Justin Bieber concert at The Nice Guy in L.A., three people—including Kodak Black—were injured in a shootout, as The Shade Room previously reported.
The lawsuit was reportedly brought on by Mark Schaefer and Adam Rahman, who say they sustained serious injuries from the incident. They allege that the ordeal was sparked after Kodak Black took part in a physical altercation, which escalated to the point that shots were fired.
The Cities Of Los Angeles & West Hollywood Are Also Involved
In addition to Justin and Kodak, the men are also suing the City of Los Angeles, the City of West Hollywood, and L.A. County. Additionally, the venue—as well as promoters The Hwood Group and Revolve Group—are being sued for damages, as the plaintiffs allege that all parties involved in the afterparty should “bear some responsibility.”
Notably, Schaefer and Rahman are being represented by attorney Gloria Allred in their pursuit.
Kodak’s Attorney Slams The Lawsuit As A ‘Poorly Drafted Complaint’
In response to the lawsuit, Kodak’s attorney—Bradford Cohen—called it “the most poorly drafted complaint” he’d seen in nearly three decades. He also declared that he “expect[s] Kodak to be dismissed from this suit fairly quickly.”
“I have seen a lot of bad complaints in my day. This is the most poorly drafted complaint I have seen in 26 years. I expect Kodak to be dismissed from this suit fairly quickly.”
“There is zero specificity in the complaint and Ms. Allred groups the defendants all together instead of making specific allegations against each. It’s law school 101. I am embarrassed for Ms. Allred that she actually signed her name to that complaint.”
Neither Kodak Black nor Justin Bieber appear to have reacted to the lawsuit on social media.
