Minnesota entered the offseason far sooner than it hoped it would, which means attention will soon turn toward wide receiver Justin Jefferson as he works with the team on a new contract.
Per Pro Football Talk, Jefferson is eligible for a contract extension this offseason that would pay him what he’s owed after proving to be arguably the best receiver in football in 2022.
Jefferson chose his words carefully when talking about his future with the franchise. While admitting he wants to continue playing in Minnesota, he made no concessions about his contract desires.
“I mean, I will be wherever I’m wanted. If they want me here, I’m here. That’s not something that I can really control,” said Jefferson.
