Jameson Williams finds special place for first TD ball

Sports

Detroit Lions rookie wide receiver Jameson Williams is keeping his first touchdown ball close to home.

In fact, he’s keeping the special momento right where he sleeps.

The former Alabama wideout didn’t get to start his NFL playing career until Week 13 after nursing an ACL injury.

However, he took his first catch to the house on a 41-yard touchdown strike from Detroit quarterback Jared Goff.

The first-round wideout looked incredibly happy to take his first profession catch in for six.

In Detroit, Williams should in due time position himself as the Lions’ top receiving option. The 6-7 Lions have won five of their last six and are pushing for a last-second Wild Card spot in the NFC.

The Lions picked Williams to help its struggling receiving core. However, Williams and fellow receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown project to be a lethal two-headed monster going ahead.

Even though he’s missed most of the season, Detroit now has its promising offensive rookie to help its surging offense. That’s something that can help this team rest easy in the weeks to come.
