IRISH News columnist Lynette Fay has told of her joy after she tied the knot with Gavin Cumisky in Co Fermanagh.
The couple celebrated their nuptials in front of 100 friends and family at the Manor House Country Hotel near Enniskillen on Thursday.
The BBC Radio Ulster presenter, who wore a dress made by her cousin and fashion designer Shauna Fay, described their wedding day as “amazing”.
It comes less than a year after the couple, who have a three-year-old daughter named Neansai Maire, became engaged when Mr Cumiskey popped the question on Good Friday.
The former Gaelic footballer and all-Ireland club medal winner had whisked Ms Fay away for the weekend for a visit to the Hill of the O’Neill in her hometown of Dungannon and presented her with an emerald cut diamond ring.
Speaking as they enjoyed a break away in the west of Ireland following their nuptials, Ms Fay said it had been a “really special” day.
“The ceremony and the celebrations were all in the Manor House and it was gorgeous and we were looked after so well, it was a very relaxed day,” she said.
“We had just over 100 people with us and it was amazing, the dance floor never emptied all night.”
With her daughter as flowergirl, Ms Fay said she did not feel any nerves until the service was about to begin.
“I was at the door of the ceremony and it just hit me,” she said.
“But our friends were doing the music and as soon as it started I was fine and they sung me up the aisle.
“It was a really relaxed day and we had a lot of good people around us, it was really special.”
