🇮🇪 Taoiseach Micheál Martin has issued a strong condemnation of Russia following an incursion into Polish airspace by Russian drones, calling the act “reckless and unprecedented.” The statement, released Monday by the Department of the Taoiseach, emphasized Ireland’s unwavering support for Poland’s sovereignty.

“This was a stark reminder of the threat posed by Russia to Europe’s security,” Martin stated, reaffirming Ireland’s solidarity with Poland and its right to defend its territory.

🛡️ The Taoiseach also linked the incident to broader regional instability, urging increased support for Ukraine amid Russia’s ongoing military aggression. The Irish Government is expected to discuss further measures in response to the incursion and its implications for European security.

The drone violation has heightened concerns across EU member states, reinforcing calls for coordinated defense and diplomatic efforts to counter escalating threats in Eastern Europe.
