Mark Woodley, a KWWL sports reporter, has now gone viral for his coverage of a recent winter blizzard. Woodley was tasked to report on the storm, which touched down early Thursday morning.
A local Iowa news broadcaster was EXTREMELY bent out of shape over his assignment — covering the blizzard — and he let his bosses know on live TV — and it’s hilarious. https://t.co/RG9lf2oGe5

Woodley’s Viral Broadcast
The viral video of Woodley’s broadcast was pieced together by Woodley himself, from various times he appeared on camera that morning.
The clip begins with Woodley explaining that he “normally” covers sports. But everything in the area has been canceled due to the storm.
I normally do sports, uh, everything is canceled here for the next couple of days so what better time to ask the sports guy to come in about five hours earlier than he would normally wake up and go stand out in the wind and the snow and the cold and tell other people not to do the same. I didn’t even realize that there was a 3:30 (show) also in the morning until today.
Later in the broadcast, he says that he’s used to recording indoor shows that usually last about thirty minutes. This one, he notes, is much longer. And is taking place in the frigid weather.
Tune in for the next couple of hours to watch me, progressively, get crankier and crankier.
Woodley then jokes about wishing he was stationed in a vehicle.
That thing’s heated. The outdoors, currently, is uh, not heated.
A couple more hours in, Woodley hilariously adds that he can still feel his face — though he wishes he couldn’t.
Can I go back to my regular job? I’m pretty sure, Ryan, you guys added an extra hour to this show because somebody likes torturing me. Because, compared to two and a half hours ago, it is just getting colder and colder.

In a recent interview with TODAY, Woodley said he can’t believe the clip has landed him viral internet fame.
Of all the things that I thought I’d be known for in my life, crotchety old weather reporter was not on the list.
Roommates, what do you think of Woodley’s broadcast?
