‘I’m a Human Before a Tennis Player’ – American Star Coco Gauff Makes a Strong Statement Regarding Rights

At 18, talking about human rights and ready to take over the tennis world, Coco Gauff knows it all. While the tennis player is focusing on her game, she even takes out time to talk about various important issues. The tennis star recently spoke about how she feels grateful to have this opportunity to stand for people. 

The American tennis sensation is ready to take a step up after she won her third-round match against Bernarda Pera. While she is taking one step at a time on the tennis Court, she is also making a point to use her ‘teenage sensation’ tag to help the surrounding people.

 It’s quite impressive to see the youngster balance her duties on the court with her concerns for issues that have to do with society in general.  

Coco Gauff reveals what makes her think about helping people around her 

The 18-year-old, after winning her third round, during the post-match press conference talked about her victory and then also added how becoming a top 10 tennis player and a Grand Slam finalist is helping her in educating people around the world about their rights. The tennis player also focused on how her family also plays a very important role while she is trying to help the people around her.

She said, “I think before anything I’m a human before a tennis player, so I’m always going to advocate for human rights and I feel like, I feel like with the platform. I have in the background that I came from and my the way I was raised I was always taught the important to speak up so for me that’s something I take pride in and I always will do it.”

Since the time the 18-year-old shot to  fame, she has been using her platform to raise her voice regarding various social issues. Furthermore, last year, there was a time when the tennis player also talk about her father’s best advice regarding why should she always remain vocal about various pressing issues that persist in society.

The world number 7 tennis player is not afraid to speak up over various social issues and never lets her opinion be influenced by anyone. And added how she doesn’t feel right about interfering with political issues but social issues are something that she has a firm opinion about.

She said, “My dad always told me to make an opinion on my own.”
