The New Year is a time for new beginnings, and for luxury fragrance brand Diptyque, that means the launch of their highly anticipated Do Son collection. To celebrate the release, Diptyque has teamed up with Werlen Meyer creative studio to create a short film inspired by the brand’s iconic Do Son fragrance.
The film, set to a unique soundtrack by James Blake, transports viewers to the picturesque Halong Bay in Vietnam, where Diptyque co-founder Yves Coueslant spent many summer vacations. The film tells the story of how this special place inspired the creation of the Do Son fragrance, which has been a part of Diptyque’s offerings for 18 years.
Werlen Meyer, known for their work with notable figures like Wes Anderson and Stromae, has combined illustrations and line drawings to bring the film to life. These artistic elements are a nod to the landscapes often associated with Diptyque perfumes.
