Newcastle could be set to welcome three Chelsea stars to their line-up as Eddie Howe pushes for reinforcements in their quest to finish in the top four.
The Magpies are reportedly weighing up a triple January swoop for Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Hakim Ziyech.
All three players have been in and out of Graham Potter‘s line-up, with none guaranteed of a permanent starting spot.
Ziyech’s place in the Blues team looks to be in question following the arrivals of fellow forwards Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix.
And it has been said the Chelsea trio are all on the Toon outfit’s radar with the Magpies prepared to splash the cash in the winter transfer window.
Newcastle, who currently sit third in the Premier League table, are yet to make a high-profile signing in January.
Howe knows now is the perfect opportunity to strengthen his squad if he wishes to secure Champions League football for the first time since 2003.
Here, talkSPORT looks at how Newcastle will line-up should they secure the services of the three Chelsea players.
Nick Pope will keep his place in goal with the England international one of the signings of the season so far.
His compatriots Kieran Trippier and Dan Burn should occupy the full-back slots.
The pair both arrived to St James’ Park in last year’s winter window, where they have become key players under Howe.
A centre-back pairing will likely consist of Fabian Schar and Sven Botman, who has endeared himself to the Newcastle faithful since joining from Lille.
Brazilian fan favourite Bruno Guimaraes could then start in the middle of a three-man midfield.
The 25-year-old has been one of the standout players for Newcastle this campaign – chipping in with four goals and three assists in 21 games in all competitions.
Featuring either side of him could be Loftus-Cheek and Gallagher, which would see Joe Willock and Sean Longstaff come out of the team.
Hakim Ziyech could then be deployed on the left wing at the expense of Joelinton.
October’s Player of the Month Miguel Almiron will then feature on the opposite flank, with Alexander Isak tasked with leading the line ahead of Callum Wilson.
