Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. has been awarded a contract exceeding $8 million by Israel’s Ministry of Defence to deliver and integrate advanced satellite communication (SATCOM) systems tailored for military operations.

Strategic Defence Deployment

The agreement will be executed by Gilat’s dedicated defence division, Gilat Defense, and includes the rollout of robust SATCOM platforms engineered for harsh and unpredictable environments. Deliveries are scheduled over the next 12 months.

Unified Defence Capabilities

The contract reflects Gilat’s strategic focus on Israel’s defence sector and leverages technologies from its subsidiaries—Wavestream, DataPath, and Stellar Blu—under a unified offering. Gilad Landsberg, President of Gilat Defense, emphasized the strength of this integrated approach, stating it delivers capabilities “far beyond the individual parts”.

Global Momentum

This deal follows recent defence-sector wins for Gilat, including contracts with the U.S. Army and NATO-affiliated satellite operators. The company’s expanding portfolio supports growing global demand for resilient, multi-orbit satellite connectivity.
