Former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker returns to South Africa

Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Jose Ali Meza is back in the country according to reports.

The 31-year-old Venezuelan attacker has been unemployed since June 2022 after parting ways with Club Always Ready in Bolivia.

According to local reports, Meza is training with relegation strugglers Maritzburg United.

He enjoyed a spell at the club back in 2020 after parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns.

“Former Mamelodi Sundowns forward Jose Ali Meza is now training with Maritzburg United.” – an IdiskiTimes report read.

“Sources close to the club confirmed to iDiski Times that it’s been two weeks since he returned to Maritzburg where he’s impressed under the watchful eye of head coach Fadlu Davids.”
