It was a case of Merv Hughes eat your heart out, as Kagiso Rabada had the MCG crowd on their feet during the Test match between South Africa and Australia.
The fast bowler was fielding near the boundary line and began stretching and imitating bowling actions while the spectators started to follow.

He lifted his arms to growing cheers and continued as the crowd laughed and heckled behind him.
It was a nod to Australia’s charismatic quick, Hughes, who was well known for his crowd antics during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Hughes, a right-arm fast bowler, was a crowd favourite with his moustache and cheeky antics, and he would regularly stretch at the boundary ropes, knowing the crowd would imitate his actions.
A photo of him with the crowd in full swing behind him is now part of cricket folklore.
Hughes represented Australia in 53 Test matches between 1985 and 1994, taking 212 wickets, and played 33 One Day Internationals, taking 38 wickets.
And while no one could replace the inimitable Merv, the question is, did Rabada just do it better? Oh, surely not.
