The FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award was presented to Glen Moore in recognition of his dedication to training schools in Missouri on preventing mass violence. The announcement was made by Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Chris Crocker at an FBI School Safety Initiative conference, attended by over 200 school administrators, staff, and law enforcement officers from the greater St. Louis region.

Moore’s Role in School Safety Training

Moore has trained approximately 1,000 school employees, offering his expertise regardless of school size or location. He became a key FBI partner after the launch of the School Safety Initiative in 2021. As Director of Threat Management at the Missouri School Boards’ Association, Center for Education Safety, he helped design a threat prevention model that enables schools to:

  • Create threat assessment teams
  • Identify and support students of concern
  • Intervene before threats escalate to law enforcement involvement

SAC Crocker emphasized the impact of Moore’s work, stating:
“We cannot prove a negative after a concern has been resolved. However, we are aware many schools successfully identified students of concern and helped meet the students’ needs.”
