London-based community The Basement works in collaboration with New Balance on a new Dark Slate colorway palette of the 2002R sneaker model. Additionally, it is exclusive to family and friends, marking the fourth colorway that joins this highly limited series. It is dropped for community members of The Basement later this week.
The community is known for connecting youth culture through music, art, fashion, and more. The shoes start off with a reflective mesh as the base foundation of the shoe that is in place of the waterproof heavy suede material that is seen in the past 3 drops. It also features 3M overlaying panels that sit along with the contrasting rubber black toe caps, outsole unit, and heel guards.
