EASA publishes updated Easy Access Rules for Air Operations

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has published a new revision of the Easy Access Rules for Air Operations (Regulation (EU) No 965/2012).

This Revision from February 2025 introduces:

Following the adoption by the European Commission of a comprehensive regulatory package for drones and vertical take-off and landing (VTOL)-capable aircraft (VCA), this publication incorporates into the EAR for Aircrew the amendments from that package related to Air Operations as introduced by Regulation (EU) 2024/1111. Further Easy Access Rules containing amendments introduced by Regulation (EU) 2024/1111 to other regulations (e.g. EAR for ATM/ANS — Provision of Services) as well as amendments to the other regulations in this package will be published shortly on the EASA website.

The EAR for Air Operations are available as a pdf in an easy-to-read format with advanced navigation features through links and bookmarks as well as in an xml format with machine-readable content.

As the publication is generated through the eRules platform, it will be updated regularly to incorporate further changes and evolutions to its content.
