Dublin, 2 August 2025 – Minister of State for Migration, Colm Brophy TD, yesterday announced the launch of a €2.7 million funding programme aimed at supporting the integration and employability of migrants living in Ireland. The funding is made available under the Integration and Employment of Migrants action of the Employment, Inclusion, Skills and Training (EIST) Programme 2021–2027, jointly financed by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
Programme Objectives
The funding will support a limited number of large-scale projects led by non-governmental and community organisations. Selected initiatives must focus on overcoming key barriers to employment, such as:
- Language challenges
- Lack of training and qualifications
- Social exclusion
The minimum grant available per project is €200,000, and projects must demonstrate a clear plan to improve migrant access to the labour market through targeted skills and training programmes.
Eligibility Criteria
Funding applications are open to projects supporting:
- EEA nationals resident in Ireland
- Third-country nationals with legal employment permission, including Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection from Ukraine
