The Boston Bruins put an exclamation point on one of the most remarkable seasons in NHL history on Sunday, earning yet another significant accolade.
Boston clinched victory No. 63 following a 5-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers, setting a single-season NHL record. Unsurprisingly, the Eastern Conference powerhouse has seen several contributors step up throughout the season, but star David Pastrnak led the charge on Sunday, producing an outing he’ll likely remember forever.
Finishing with a game-high four points, on a hat-trick and an assist, Pastrnak also reached some personal milestones in the Bruins’ historic victory. The 26-year-old reached the 60-goal mark for the first time and also netted career goal No. 300 on Sunday.
