Buffalo Bills’ safety Damar Hamlin made headlines last when he collapsed and went into cardiac arrest after tackling an opponent.
The 24-year-old was rushed to the hospital and reportedly in critical condition. The entire world watched the tragic event unfold, with updates of his improvements and recovery going viral on Twitter.
Thankfully, Damar recovered swiftly. On Friday, he was able to speak and breathe on his own without a ventilator and even FaceTimed with other players:
And on Saturday, Damar shared his first on Instagram, writing, “When you put real love out into the world it comes back to you three times as much.
“The love has been overwhelming, but I’m thankful for every single person that prayed for me and reached out,” he continued.
“We brung the world back together behind this. If you know me, you know this only gone make me stronger,” he added.
