The European Commission and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), in coordination with Member States, are closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East to assess evolving threats and risks and their potential impact on civil aviation.
On March 18, 2026, following an assessment by the Integrated EU Aviation Security Risk Assessment Group (the IRAG), the Conflict Zone Information Bulletin (CZIB) was revised to reflect the observed conflict dynamics, including differences in the level and geographic distribution of military activities. The new CZIB is valid until March 27.
The European Commission and EASA, together with Member States, will continue to closely monitor the situation, with a view to assessing whether the level of risk for EU aircraft operators increases or decreases as the situation develops.
