This RedSands Hilux has been created by the Perth, Australia-based camper rental company in partnership with Roev to achieve a fully electric version of the Toyota vehicle that’s ready to withstand off-grid living.
The vehicle is expected to feature an all-electric functionality that would work well for delivering emissions-free living support in any conditions. RedSands is also working with the G’Day Group campground operator to get electric charging infrastructure up and running at several of its Western Australia campgrounds.
The RedSands Hilux is expected to be available for rent starting in July 2024 and will also provide a four-wheel drive (4WD) design ready to withstand life in the Outback. The vehicle is expected to be a frontrunner for helping to meet the needs of today’s off-grid traveler.
